KICK!
A well-control shift on the choke panel. Drill to target depth without letting the well get away from you.
The window. Keep Bottom Hole Pressure inside the moving green band — above the formation's pore pressure (or it kicks) but below fracture (or you break the rock). A KICK shoves the green band up. You're now underbalanced → PIT GAIN climbs. SHUT the choke (0% = open, 100% = shut) to raise pressure and stop the influx, then +KILL MUD so you can open back up and keep drilling. Watch casing pressure — slamming the choke shut protects the well but loads the equipment. Max it out and the BOP bursts. Lose if pit gain redlines (blowout), casing bursts, or you fracture the formation. Win by reaching target depth.
